6pt Bank Gothic Medium #14 Letterpress Type ATF #533 Complete Caps & Figures

6 point Bank Gothic Medium #14. This offering includes a complete Cap & Figure font. The Caps were removed from original wrappers and set in a type case and never used. I originally offered this as a Cap only offering however since listing I found the unopened package of figures and reunited it with the Caps. I have amended listing with photos as well. This is Hard Foundry Type cast by American Type Founders (ATF). Bank Gothic typeface is in the Copperplate family of typefaces.
Bank Gothic medium was also listed by American Type Founders as ATF # 533. ATF cast four sizes of 6 point, four sizes of 12 point and two sizes in 18 point. This offering is  Bank Gothic Medium #14. The largest size in 6 point is #14 and smallest size in 6 point is #11. This is Hard Foundry Type and can also be used for hot foil stamping. Type in this offering is set on a 36 pica line length which is approximately 6 inches. Cap letter scheme is 13 - A's figure font scheme is 11 - 1's. This offering before shipping box and packing has a weight of 1 pound.

Kelsey Company purchased American Type Founders (ATF) letterpress type that was relabeled and sold as
Connecticut
Type foundry letterpress type. Kelsey Co. would re-label over the original ATF label and often times would renamed the typeface. One example is ATF -
Bank Gothic Medium, under the Kelsey rebranded name it became BOND GOTHIC.

Bank Gothic,
in three weights and two widths, was designed in 1930-33 by Morris F. Benton for ATF, which introduced the normal widths in 1930. It is a more squarish, contemporary adaptation of letters on the order of "Copperplate Gothic" useful primarily for the same sort of forms and stationery work. Monotype "Stationers Gothic" is similar. From these sources it follows the usual custom of small lining types, with several sizes being made for each of several body sizes so that they can readily e used in a variety of cap-and small-cap combinations.
