Gillette Safety Razor Vintage Wall Mount

Description

A used and vintage Gillette wall mount. Made of metal and printed on the face "Gillette Safety Razor" and "No Stropping No Honing". Below on the bottom line in very small writing "Pat. Appl'd For".  Size is approximately 4 x 3 1/2 inches. A very old, used piece of history.
I was told by a EBay member that this might have something to do with a Gillette double ring safety razor, but I am not sure.
