The WAIF - ROCKIN & SURFIN SHOW was initiated by a now deceased friend of mine and has now been on the air for every consecutive week for well over 30 years now. The torch has been passed to two illustrious DJs - Rock-it-RICK and the MIDWEST Surf Guy. They spin all the waves of surf including modern and progressive surf instrumentals mixed with other rock n roll staples. A show worthy of its longevity.
The series of tags were introduced when I first started getting into making tags. This was done as a fund raiser. People could either donate for a tag or give to the station and it would be sent as a pledge drive incentive/premium. I have a lot of faith in the show and love the surf music scene which I have been traveling the country playing "instrumental surf music and spy, and spaghetti western music along with twang bar styles kind of like rockabilly for over ten years now. I play both 5string fretless bass as well a rhythm guitar (and some lead lines) I also sing pretty good but choose not too. (The definition of a gentlemen - one who plays harmonica , bagpipes, or banjo and chooses not to)
